FALL SEASON 2009

 

 

 

Team Parent Information

 

1.  Refreshment Schedule: Set up a snack schedule rotating all of the player’s parents (if possible try not to include the coaches children).  Halftime, provide water and cut up fresh fruit ready to eat.   Napkins or wipes are nice to have for the players to use before they return to the game.  After the game, please provide a cold drink and a small snack.  The parent in charge of snacks will also be in charge of trash clean up at half time and after game, so PLEASE, remind them to bring a large trash bag.  Your team will be responsible for any trash left behind.

 

2.  Banner/Flag:  Your team banner/flag can be no longer than 3’x5’. The following information must appear on each team banner:  Team name, sponsor’s name, AYSO REGION 538, your division and team number, all players names, coaches names and the year.  Try to include team color(s) and theme.  A strong suggestion for banners is TEAM BANNERS (909) 322-9159 (Just a suggestion teams can use any resources they want for their team banner)

 

3.  Telephone calls:  Work with your coach to relay any information to your players and their parents, such as practice cancellations or any other schedule changes.  Team parent should contact the family in charge of snack a few days before the game to remind them. 

 

4.  Team pictures:  The pictures Coordinator will be passing out information to each team as soon as possible.  Pass out the information to each player’s parents; allow plenty of time for your team to line up.  Picture day will be Sept. 19, 2009

 

5. Team Sponsor:  A sponsor is needed for each team.   Sponsorship information will be distributed.  Often at least one parent from your team own or work for a business willing to sponsor the team.  Your team will receive $25 of sponsor money to help pay for the team party.  PLEASE invite your sponsor to join in and be apart of your team!  Submit your sponsor forms and check as soon as possible.  Remember teams will not receive their $25 for their party until team evaluation forms are turned into Kathy Hoffman Coach Administrator.

 

6.   Field Preparation:  Fields will be painted every Thursday.  Teams will be assigned to help paint the field. Field schedule will be given ahead of time, Please ask your parents to help volunteer on the assigned Thursday.

 

 7.  Team Party:  It is customary to have a team party at the end of the season.  This allows for time to hand out awards to players or coaches.  You can get someone to plan the party or maybe have it at their house. 

 

8.  Team Expenses:  There are expenses incurred for the team such as; team banner, coaches’ gifts, and team party.  It seems to work out best to inform your parents at the beginning of the season for their responsibility and let them know the amount needed for these expenses. 

 

9.  Referees:  For the divisions U10 & up it will be mandatory for each team to provide at least ONE referee per team.  If your team does not provide at least ONE referee, your team will lose points that may cost you going to play-offs in Lancaster. If for some reason your referee can not make it to the game Please call Regional Head Referee Wayne Vinlove @ 760 5599180 to make other arrangements.
